Job -Seekers Who Want To Volunteer

If you are looking for a job, thinking about changing careers or wanting to re-enter the workforce after a long break, volunteer work can provide useful skills and experience. Employers often look favourably at voluntary work on resumes.

Whilst we can never guarantee that volunteer work leads directly to paid work, it is often beneficial for job-seekers.

In some cases, volunteering can also be included in your job search activity agreement with Centrelink. Discuss this option with your local Centrelink office or Job Network Member.

As with every other person, it is your choice whether you volunteer, and what type of volunteer work you wish to do.
